Yesterday Silver Strike Charter Fishing was out of Baileys Harbor and continued to find excellent salmon fishing. The morning trip produced 32 salmon and the evening trip came in with 33. This morning the charter came in off the lake early with their 25 fish limit. The kings are coming on an array of dodger fly combos and spoons. Depths have ranged from 70-100 feet of water depending on conditions. We hope to see the fishing continue like this through the summer and keep producing limit catches like this past week.

Silver Strike Charters was out last night out of Baileys Harbor, Door County. The Salmon and Rainbow trout are really starting to hit. We went 9-13 and did not get the full night bite having to head back to the dock due to the customers. Numbers have been varying depending on weather but catches from 5-15 are common. anywhere from 70-90 feet of water on Dodger flies and spoons have been working. Fish are coming at all depths including dipsy divers, lead core and downriggers. Most of the fish are 4+ lbs with about 1/4 of the catch being 4 year olds. The fish are looking very healthy and quite a bit of baitfish pods are being seen.

The annual Baileys Harbor Brown Trout derby was held this past weekend in Door County this past weekend. Fishing was pretty slow Friday and Saturday with wind gust up to 30 mph out of the North West. We fished the Sturgeon Bay quarry and then Lilly bay on Lake Michigan, but neither produced many browns. For the next day and a half we basically fished whever we could based on the wind but fishing was still slow. The last morning of the Brown Trout Derby, our Silver Strike Fishing charters Team hooked up a 19.01 pound Brown on the Bay of Green Bay. We placed 2nd in the Derby.
